Over the years, we have partnered with the Evangelical Mennonite Conference (EMC) to provide a ministry opportunity for our young adults. This year, the EMC are giving direction to this ministry opportunity and the destination is Mexico. Spread the word, and encourage the young adults in your congregation to consider participating in this Project Mac 2012 experience!
Deadline for applications is June 1, 2012.

News, Opportunity for Involvement/Ministry,
Inviting all youth!! Come to Relay 75!!
Relay 75 Youth Events schedule
Tim Goertzen, Youth Pastor at the Winkler EMM Church, which by the way, is the hosting church for Relay 75 … and Steve Klassen have been busy putting together a variety of activities for the youth (ages 12 to 17). Relay 75 is for the whole family … and we’re excited about the youth coming and celebrating during this special weekend as well.
You’ve probably seen the posters and (sort of) heard about “Relay 75″. It’s a celebration … 75 years of EMMC ministries here in North America and way beyond. You’ll be amazed at stories coming from real, live people who have done some pretty cool pioneering work in spreading the Good News of Jesus. They’ll probably tell a couple of stories about snakes and things too, but it’s more about building relationships with people, and directing them to God!
So … come and have fun … make new friends … come and worship … come meet real-life heroes who are making a difference in your communities AND way beyond!
Concert on Friday night at 6:30pm at the Winkler EMM Church featuring “Re-Instate” – a local band who are gonna get the place hopping! Come early for supper at 5pm! If you haven’t registered … you should do that so we know how much food to make!

Saturday evening my husband and I had a wonderful opportunity to hear about the new ministries happening in Bolivia. We were also treated to some special music from Third Pew (Blumenort, MB). Simon and Edith Peters shared about their vision for the new counseling ministry. A rehab center is being started near Pailon as well as a counseling center in Santa Cruz. There is also opportunity to mentor and counsel in the community of Villa Neuva, where they are living. Bill and Martha Kehler shared about the San Jose outreach ministry. There are about 6,000 Mennonites in the colonies surrounding the San Jose community. In April 2012 a work team from Canada went to help build the ministry center.
