Bolivia, friendships and pizza

It was all Darrell Kehler’s idea! What started off as a debriefing time ended up being a party! But that’s OK … we love to host people here at the Go Mission! office.

Carol and Kevin Hiebert

Kevin and Carol Hiebert returned from Bolivia in December after a one-year assignment. Carol was a teacher at the Villa Nueva school. They had an appointment today with Darrell and Elaine Kehler to talk about their time in Bolivia.

Lisa and Ben Friesen

Ben and Lisa Friesen are going back to Bolivia on January 27, where Lisa will resume her responsibilities as administrative assistant and teacher at the school in Villa Nueva. Ben is active in the economic development projects, providing assistance wherever he is needed.

When Ben and Lisa heard that Hieberts would be here for a pizza lunch, it didn’t take much convincing and they too arrived with their family.

The Bolivian reunion in Winnipeg was off to a great start!

Natasha and Julianna were best friends in Bolivia. You could tell by the way they sat side-by-side on the couch and spoke quietly to each other. The five boys between the two families seemed to have picked up their friendships where they left off in Bolivia.

What a joy to sit and hear the adults tell stories about adjusting to life in Bolivia and now, life in Canada. Expectations, ministry struggles, God’s faithfulness, laughter and pizza. It was a great lunch.

mmmm .... pizza

Thanks Tracy & Lil for looking after the details. Let’s pray for Kevin & Carol as they settle back in to life in Brandon and look to serve the Lord there. Let’s also pray for Ben & Lisa and family as they head back to Bolivia early morning on January 27th and resume ministry there.
