Prayer

Egyptian church asks for prayer

The Evangelical Fellowship of Egypt recently confirmed that the church in Egypt is in “united prayer for the country and called on the church globally to pray with them.” They remain confident that God is indeed in control, and are asking that the Global church urgently to

  • Pray for wisdom for all leaders in Egypt – both the current government, and for the future leadership of the country. Pray that religious freedom for all minorities in Egypt be a marker of the new government.
  • Pray for the safety of the young people in Tahrir Square – some are Christians, some are Muslim. The Christians believe strongly that both are united in their common concern for the welfare of the nation.
  • Pray for peaceful change, and positive outcomes for the country as a whole, with positive impact on the region as a whole.
Prayer for direction – Harry & Mars Enns

Harry and Mars Enns

To our praying family & friends…

Your prayer support is crucial this week, as we make the final decision regarding our next assignment. We are leaning in one particular direction, while still not totally sure it’s the right one.
Please pray God would …

  • give us total peace, joy and excitement in following our inclination,OR
  • that He would redirect our sights to the option of HIS choice,

AND

  • that we would be completely willing & eager to follow His direction!

We’ll keep you posted…and thank you for your prayers! Feel free to let us know you’re praying – it’s the best encouragement we could possibly get!

Trying to wait patiently…

Ruben Mercado in car mishap

After being in Canada for a wonderful three week visit, the Mercado family returned to Mexico and a week later Ruben and their daughter Abigail flew to Bolivia.  The purpose of their visit to Bolivia is to encourage the LIEAB and RIIMA churches and make plans for a sabbatical to Bolivia in the future.

Darrell Kehler just received notice that Ruben Mercado and his daughter Abigail were in a traffic accident in Santa Cruz, Bolivia this afternoon (Saturday, December 4). They were riding in a taxi that collided with another taxi.  Ruben got scraped up pretty bad, but no stitches or broken bones. Abigail had to have stitches in two places in her head and was quite banged up.  They are currently recovering in a Clinic in Santa Cruz.

Rubén was to be speaking in La Fortaleza church Sunday December 5, but will not be able to at this time.  It seems the enemy wants to discourage and frustrate their ministry through this. Darrell Kehler talked with Ruben on the phone and told him we would ask others to pray as well.  Please pray for victory over the enemy, for healing, and that God’s name will be glorified through this.
