premarital counseling Resource

I am reworking my premarital counseling material and would love to read over what you are using? If you have a resource or links to resources you use, and are willing to share, that would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Ike, I used the Prepare Enrich inventory series in the past, still think the circumplex model makes good sense. What resource are you using?

  2. Ike says:

I’ve been using the TJTA, plus a mix of material covering roles, inlaws, sexuality, finances and God’s purpose for marriage.
I’ve heard about Enrich. I will look into it more. Thanks.

I also use TJTA, plus some material produced be “Caring for the Heart Ministries. I really like this material because it focuses foremost on the persons relationship with God, and then dealing with the pain and baggage people carry before they bring it into the marriage. I use the same material for marital counseling. So far we have found this to be a great resource.

Henry, any chance you could forward me the material you use, or a link. I’ve used some of John Regiers stuff, but if you could let me know exactly what you use that would be awesome. Thanks so much for sharing.

  5. Hredekopp says:

    Ike,
John Regier’s website is http://www.caringfortheheart.com The resource we use is Biblical Concepts Counseling Workbook. I also recommend his video series where he teaches the material from the book.

  6. Len says:

The nice part about non faith based resources is that you can use them easily with non christians – then becomes a great opportunity for sharing faith.
