Praise, Prayer and Pondering, September 27, 2012

This week, there are a variety of opportunities and workshops that are promoted in this email. If there are church events, updates and changes for your church and community that you would like highlighted, please send the information to [email protected] for inclusion in the weekly email.

Something that “just missed” the email sent earlier this afternoon is the poster for the Fund Raising Concert being held in Warman SK on October 28. Funds raised will go towards the Low German Ministries in Southern Alberta. Concert features D’Friesens from Winkler Manitoba.

October 2012 Prayer Guide

October is Pastor Appreciation Month. The guide for this month has its focus on the pastoral and leadership teams in our churches. As you pray each day, think of ways in which you can be an encouragement to your pastoral staff and then act on it!

Getting, Giving and Living the Gospel

Jacob Friesen writes:

Coming from Southern Ontario I am very aware of Bruxy and the positive impact the church he is leading is making in that whole region. On a number of occasions people from outside of the church and/or outside of our Anabaptist tradition have talked to me about the appeal of this long haired man’s take on the gospel. A number of people I know have discovered or rediscovered Jesus through his teaching ministry. I think there are some things we can learn from him.
